AI Content Repurposing Workflow

A Zapier workflow that detects new media in Google Drive, filters the source files, transcribes MP4 content with AI, generates a blog draft, and loops through structured output items for further repurposing.

Business problem

Content teams can lose hours opening uploaded videos, producing transcripts, drafting articles, and manually splitting generated material into reusable pieces.

What I built

The Zap monitors a Google Drive folder, filters the incoming file, sends MP4 content through AI transcription, generates a blog post, and uses Looping by Zapier to process structured line items.

How I built the workflow

01

Detect new media

A new file in the configured Google Drive folder triggers the Zap.

02

Validate source

A filter keeps only files that should enter the repurposing process.

03

Transcribe video

AI converts the MP4 source into usable text.

04

Generate blog draft

AI transforms the transcript into a structured article draft.

05

Process content items

Looping by Zapier iterates through structured output line items.

  • Structured outputs are prepared for repeatable downstream use.

Project results

Google DriveInput

The workflow starts when media arrives in the monitored folder.

2AI stages

Transcription and blog generation are handled as separate AI steps.

StructuredOutput

Generated line items are prepared for repeatable loop processing.

Challenges and resolutions
